Mayor Gamec introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-08-195 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING NO DISCIPLINE REGARDING A CITY EMPLOYEE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on July 23, 2002 the City Council received a citizen complaint regarding <br />the conduct of a City employee subject to the City Council's authority; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §13D.05, Subd. 2 "Meetings having data classified <br />as not public," the City Council is obligated to close the meeting at which it undertakes <br />preliminary consideration of allegations on charges against an individual subject to its authority, <br />unless said individual requests that the meeting be open; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the individual that is the subject of the allegation did not request that the <br />meeting be open; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a closed meeting on August 13, 2002 to discuss the <br />allegations made against the individual; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a majority of the City Council has concluded that the allegations m'e not <br />cause for discipline of the employee. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE RAMSEY CITY COUNCIL as follows: <br /> <br />1. That the allegations against a City employee presented to the City Council on July 23, <br /> 2002 by a citizen are not cause for discipline and that discipline is not warranted. <br /> <br />2. That the matter is closed. <br /> <br />The motion of the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Anderson <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />Councilmember Hendriksen <br />Councihnember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
