Councilmember Kurak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #02-09-208 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR SURPLUS PROPERTY (BARN/SHED - <br />SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey acquired property on the west side of Sunfish Lake <br />Boulevard; and said property contained a structure (shed/barn); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 23, 2002, the City Council of the City of Ramsey declared the <br />structure surplus property and directed staff to advertise the barn/shed as such; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on June 28, 2002, staff published an ad in the Anoka Union asking for <br />sealed bids by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, no bids were received by July 19, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on August 9, 2002, staff published a second request for bids with a deadline <br />of August 30, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, two bids were received by 5:00 p.m., on August 30, 2002, opened on <br />September 3, 2002; and were in the amount of $135.99 and $252.00; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff notified Rick and Pam Heidelberger that they submitted the highest <br />bid ($252.00); and <br /> <br /> WtlEREAS, staff has received a check in the amount of $252 from the Heidelberger's <br />and correspondence stating the shed would be removed from the property by October 1, 2002, (as <br />requested in the ad for bid). <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approve the bid award to Rick and Pam <br /> Heidelberger fol' the surplus property (shed/barn) in the amount of $252.00. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councihnember <br />Anderson, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Kurak <br /> Councihnember Anderson <br /> Counci hnember Hendriksen <br /> Councilmember Zilnlnerman <br /> <br /> <br />
