Councilmember Hendriksen introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #02-09-243 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT TO <br />PARTICIPATE IN THE SAFE & SOBER GRANT PROGRAM AND ENTER INTO THE <br />GRANT AGREEMENT WITH THE MN DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />l) <br /> <br />That the Ramsey Police Department enter into a grant agreement with the Minnesota <br />Department of Public Safety, Office of Traffic Safety for the project entitled Safe & <br />Sober Communities during the period from October 1, 2002 through September 30, 2003. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That tile Police Chief of Ramsey is hereby authorized to execute such agreement and <br />amendments as are necessmy to implement the project on behalf of the Ramsey Police <br />Department. <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />That the Chief of the Coon Rapids Police Department is hereby authorized to be the fiscal <br />agent and administer this grant on behalf of the Ramsey Police Department. <br /> <br />Tile motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councihnember Hendriksen <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councihnember Anderson <br />Councihnember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />nolle <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />llOlle <br /> <br />and tile following were absent: <br /> <br />Il O Il e <br /> <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed~ Council <br />this the 24th day of September 2002. <br /> _ <br /> Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
