Councilmember Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION 02-11-294 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE ACQUISITION OF THREE TAX FORFEITED <br />WETLAND PARCELS <br /> <br /> WHERAS, Anoka County has prepared a list of lands forfeited to the State of Minnesota <br />pursuant to Chapter 282 of the Minnesota State Statutes, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, three properties on this list are located within the City of Ramsey and are described <br />by the following PIN numbers 04-32-25-31-001, 24-32-25-34-0049, and 24-32-25-33-0045, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, all three of these parcels are unbuildable due to the fact that they are covered by <br />wetlands, and; <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the highest and best use of these parcels is drainage and utility easement, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under section 282.01 of the Minnesota State Statutes, a municipality may acquire <br />such forfeited properties for public use. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />That Anoka County is hereby requested to withhold from Public sale PINS: 04-32-25-31-001, 24- <br />32-25-0049, and 24-32-25-33-0045. <br /> <br />That the City requests that the aforementioned parcels be acquired by the City for the public <br />propose of open space. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br />Councilmember Hendhksen <br />Councilmember Anderson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br />and the <br /> <br />following abstained: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 02-11-294 <br /> 1 OF 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
