Couneihnember Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION # 02-11-304 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO INTERNALLY RECRUIT FULL-TIME POLICE PATROL <br />CORPORAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Interim Police Chief James Way was appointed to the position of full-time <br />Police Chief creating a vacancy in the Police Department for the position of Police 1st Sergeant; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a cmTent Sergeant will be promoted to the position of 1st Sargent; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a current Corporal will be promoted to the position of Sergeant creating a <br />vacancy for Corporal; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff will conduct the internal recruitment for a full-time Police Patrol <br />Corporal in full accordance of City policies and procedures. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br /> Personnel Committee to internally recruit for the position of full time Police Patrol <br /> Corporal. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Hendriksen, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereofi <br /> <br /> Mayor Gamec <br /> Councilmember Anderson <br /> Councilmember Hendriksen <br /> Councihnember Kurak <br /> Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
