BMP Summary Sheet <br />MS4 Name: <br />Minimum Control Measure: <br />Unique BMP Identification Number: <br />City of Ramsey <br />3-ILLICIT DISCHARGE DETECTION AND ELIMINATION <br />3c-1 <br />*BMP Title: Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination Plan <br />*BMP Description: <br />The City of Ramsey currently offers a recycling program to the residents. The program includes curbside pickups <br />and a semi-annual recycling day for electronics and larger items not accepted in the curbside program. The City of <br />Ramsey has been recognized by Anoka County for exceeding participation goals in the recycling program. <br />The City has had a mandatory septic tank pumping ordinance in place since 2005. <br />Location(s) in SWPPP of detailed information relating to this BMP: <br />*Measurable Goals: <br />Completed Recycling days <br />Quantity of materials recovered from solid waste stream <br />Number of septic systems reported pumped <br />*Timeline/Implementation Schedule: <br />Annually — report number of septic systems pumped <br />Annually — inspect outfalls and act on dry weather flows observed <br />Specific Components and Notes: <br />Curbside recycling <br />"Recycling Day" <br />Maintenance vehicle liquid recycling <br />The city has inspected all known outfalls from the MS4 to the Rum and Mississippi Rivers annually since 2003. <br />These were all dry weather inspections and flow was not observed in the pipes during these inspections. <br />*Responsible Party for this BMP: <br />Name: Leonard Linton <br />Department: Engineering <br />Phone: 763 427-1410 <br />E-mail: llinton@ci.ramsey.mn.us <br />*Indicates a REQUIRED field.
