BMP Summary Sheet <br />MS4 Name: City of Ramsey <br />Minimum Control Measure: 5-POST-CONSTRUCTION STORMWATER MANAGEMENT IN <br />NEW DEVELOPMENT AND REDEVELOPMENT <br />Unique BMP Identification Number: 5d-1 <br />*BMP Title: Maintain Source Water Protection Area <br />*BMP Description: <br />The map of the Source Water Protection Area (SWPA) is included in Appendix 2. The SWPA covers the Ramsey <br />Town Center Area which is bounded on the east by Ramsey Boulevard, on the west by Armstrong Boulevard, on <br />the South by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. The northern boundary is approximately at 149th Avenue <br />which is not continuous in this area. The Ramsey Town Center development included regional ponds for rate <br />control, individual developments are required to provide additional treatment on site such as water quality treatment <br />manholes, infiltration basins or pervious pavement. Each proposed BMP is evaluated as part of the plan review <br />process. Several of the regional ponds are lined to maintain water levels and provide water features. These ponds <br />are nearest to most of the municipal water supply wells. The remaining regional ponds are south of the municipal <br />wells. The surface water aquifer flow is from north to south in this area. <br />Location(s) in SWPPP of detailed information relating to this BMP: <br />*Measurable Goals: <br />Maintain ponds and BMPs in this area.
