WHEREAS, on May 17, 2017, the Applicant applied for Final Plat approval; and <br /> WHEREAS, on June 13, 2017, the City Council approved the Final Plat for Homestead Road <br /> Addition; and <br /> WHEREAS,on March 13,2018,the Applicant submitted a written request seeking an extension <br /> to initiate the approved variance; and <br /> WHEREAS,City Code Section 117-53 (Variances)(d)(Lapse of Variance)states that a variance <br /> shall become null and void one year after final action by the Planning Commission if not initiated or <br /> utility; and <br /> WHEREAS, City Code Section 117-53 (Variances) (d) (Lapse of Variance) further states that a <br /> variance holder may request the Planning Commission to grant an extension of time to initiate or utilize <br /> the variance; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 13, 2018,the City received a written request from the Applicant seeking <br /> an extension to utilize or initiate their variance that was approved on April 6, 2017. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> 1) That the Ramsey Planning Commission hereby grants a one (1) year extension, ending on April 5, <br /> 2019,for the Applicant to initiate the variance to lot depth on Lots 1 and 3,Block 1 Homestead Road <br /> Addition, and that recording of the Final Plat of Homestead Road addition shall constitute initiation. <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Commissioner Surma, <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Chairperson Bauer <br /> Commissioner Anderson <br /> Commissioner Surma <br /> Commissioner Gengler <br /> Commissioner Onyambu <br /> Commissioner Van Scoy <br /> Commissioner Woestehoff <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> None <br /> and the following abstained: <br /> None <br /> RESOLUTION#18-067 <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
