He stated that the E-3 District is intended to govern general <br />industrial and commercial activity within the City' s new Industrial Park. <br />Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to waive the City <br />Charter requirement to read the ordinance aloud and Adopt Ordinance #18-04 Establishing <br />Section 117-124 "E-3 Employment District" of Chapter 117 of the City Code of Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br />Councilmember Riley aye <br />Councilmember Shryock aye <br />Councilmember Johns aye <br />Councilmember Kuzma aye <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau aye <br />Motion carried. <br />7.03: Consider Adopting Ordinance #18-05 Rezoning of Subject Properties to E-3 <br />Employment District <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and stated that the <br />Ordinance was previously introduced by the City Council at the January 9, 2018 City Council <br />meeting and is now eligible for adoption. He stated that the Planning Commission also <br />recommended adoption of Ordinance #18-05 Rezoning Identified Properties to E-3 Employment <br />District. <br />Councilmember Riley asked for details on the one parcel that is suggested not to be rezoned at <br />this time. <br />Community Development Director Gladhill stated that staff would recommend leaving that <br />property as high -density residential as requested by the property owner. He stated that staff <br />believes that it would make sense for the zoning to be consistent with the surrounding properties <br />but because of the desire of the property owner, staff will continue to work with the property <br />owner to determine the best zoning for that property. <br />Motion by Councilmember Shryock, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to waive the City <br />Charter requirement to read the ordinance aloud and Adopt Ordinance #18-05 Amending Section <br />117-90 "MAP" of Chapter 117 of the City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota, amending the property <br />on the corner of Puma and Bunker, leaving that property as high -density residential. <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br />Councilmember Riley aye <br />Councilmember Shryock aye <br />Councilmember Johns aye <br />City Council / May 8, 2018 <br />Page 5 of 10 <br />
