Employer eontribution to family coverage for AFSCME members <br />will increase from $563.00 per month to $ 630.00 per month, <br />effective JanUary 1 2005; <br /> <br />EmPloyer cOntribution to single coverage for benefit eligible non- <br />union staff Will increase from $ 297.33 to $380.17 (100%) or <br />$352.09 (90/t0%) (depending on plan selected) effective January <br />1, 2005; <br /> <br />Employer contribution to family coverage for benefit eligible non- <br />union members will increase from $563.00 per month to $ 630.00 <br />per month, effectiVe January 1, 2005; <br /> <br />AFSCME and non-union employees who currently waive coverage <br />and receive $290.00 per month will continue to receive $ 290.00 <br />per month in accordance with previous Council action. <br /> <br />Authorize tile Use of council contingency funds to cover the <br />additional cost of the city contribution to health insurance for 2005. <br /> <br />Committee Recommendation: <br /> <br />Recommend that City Council approve the 2005 city contribution toward the cost of Health <br />Insurance Benefits for members of AFSCME bargaining unit and all benefit eligible non-union <br />employees.
