He stated that the E-3 District is intended to govern general <br /> industrial and commercial activity within the City's new Industrial Park. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Kuzma, seconded by Councilmember Riley, to waive the City <br /> Charter requirement to read the ordinance aloud and Adopt Ordinance #18-04 Establishing <br /> Section 117-124 "E-3 Employment District" of Chapter 117 of the City Code of Ramsey, <br /> Minnesota. <br /> A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> Councilmember Riley aye <br /> Councilmember Shryock aye <br /> Councilmember Johns aye <br /> Councilmember Kuzma aye <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau aye <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 7.03: Consider Adopting Ordinance #18-05 Rezoning of Subject Properties to E-3 <br /> Employment District <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and stated that the <br /> Ordinance was previously introduced by the City Council at the January 9, 2018 City Council <br /> meeting and is now eligible for adoption. He stated that the Planning Commission also <br /> recommended adoption of Ordinance #18-05 Rezoning Identified Properties to E-3 Employment <br /> District. <br /> Councilmember Riley asked for details on the one parcel that is suggested not to be rezoned at <br /> this time. <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill stated that staff would recommend leaving that <br /> property as high-density residential as requested by the property owner. He stated that staff <br /> believes that it would make sense for the zoning to be consistent with the surrounding properties <br /> but because of the desire of the property owner, staff will continue to work with the property <br /> owner to determine the best zoning for that property. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Shryock, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to waive the City <br /> Charter requirement to read the ordinance aloud and Adopt Ordinance #18-05 Amending Section <br /> 117-90 "MAP" of Chapter 117 of the City Code of Ramsey, Minnesota, amending the property <br /> on the corner of Puma and Bunker, leaving that property as high-density residential. <br /> A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> Councilmember Riley aye <br /> Councilmember Shryock aye <br /> Councilmember Johns aye <br /> City Council/May 8,2018 <br /> Page 5 of 10 <br />
