<br />Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #18-110 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works; and Interns to work <br />in Administrative Services, Community Development, Engineering, and Parks; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> staff selected one qualified Public Works Seasonal Worker; and three <br />qualified interns; an <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />all candidates have passed the pre-employment screenings; and <br /> <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> Staff recommends hiring the 2018 seasonal and temporary employees. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #18-110 to hire the following employees on or near the dates <br />listed below: <br /> <br />Entry level seasonal employees: Gunnar Ledin, effective June 4, 2018 at $11.50 per hour; <br />and <br /> <br />Temporary Interns: Parks & Recreation Intern, Cecilia Schmit, effective May 30, 2018 at <br />$13.00 per hour; Parks & Recreation Intern, Kiana Packer, effective June 7, 2018 at <br />$13.00 per hour; Parks & Recreation Intern Mitchell Koester, effective August 27, 2018 <br />at $13.00 per hour. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
