Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-091 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPEED STUDY REQUEST FOR BUNKER LAKE <br />BOULEVARD/CSAH 116 BETWEEN ARMSTRONG BOULEVARD/CSAH 83 AND <br />SUNFISH LAKE BOULEVARD/CSAH 57 <br />WHEREAS, the existing posted speed limit on Bunker Lake Boulevard/CSAH 116 <br />between Armstrong Boulevard/CSAH 83 and Sunfish Lake Boulevard/CSAH 57 is 55 mph; and <br />WHEREAS, the owner of a residential development north of Bunker Lake Boulevard <br />between Zeolite Street and Town Center Drive is concerned that the posted speed limit of 55 <br />mph on said road segment presents a dangerous situation for residents of area developments; and <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 169.14 allows local road authorities to pass a resolution <br />requesting a speed study investigation by MnDOT; and <br />WHEREAS, the local road authority that owns and operates the road segment to be <br />studied is responsible to submit the speed study request to MNDOT; and <br />WHEREAS, Bunker Lake Boulevard/CSAH 116 is owned and operated by Anoka <br />County. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to submit a request to <br />Anoka County for the Minnesota Department of Transportation to complete a speed study <br />on Bunker Lake Boulevard/CSAH 116 between Armstrong Boulevard/CSAH 83 and <br />Sunfish Lake Boulevard/CSAH 57. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this 8th day of May, 2018. <br />RESOLUTION #18-091 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
