The purpose of this case is to introduce such an ordinance The <br />total number of parcels identified within this ordinance is three (3). This case will be brought back to the City <br />Council on January 23 for final adoption. <br />The three parcels were identified through the Public Works Space Needs Analysis in 2016. Please see attached <br />study, Option A, Page 41. <br />This case is considered administrative. Staff would like pass this ordinance now, to avoid delaying a project/ <br />process in the future, when an actual deal comes to the city. This is an effort to be as "shovel -ready" as reasonably <br />possible. As some Council members may recall, the City did a similar exercise in 2015, at which time roughly 20 <br />city owned parcels were identified surplus city -owned land via Ordinance #15-05. <br />This ordinance does approve the sale, or require the sale, of city -owned land. This ordinance simply allows the city <br />to sell city -owned land. Individual land transactions will be reviewed and approved on a case -by -case basis, in the <br />future, depending on the merits of individual proposals. <br />Notification: <br />After adoption, a notification of this ordinance will be posted in the Union Herald. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />NA <br />Funding Source: <br />NA <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that City Council adopt Ordinance #18-02. <br />Action: <br />Motion to: <br />Introduce Ordinance #18-02, Authorizing the City of Ramsey to Sell Three (3) Parcels of Real Property no longer <br />needed for current or future City functions. <br />
