Motion carried. Voting Yes: ChaffperSon Nixt, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Board Input <br /> <br />Board Member Brauer asked if the five foot setback is going to be a problem for them in the <br />future. He indicated the comment about this being a 300 foot long building is a good one, but <br />there is the possibility they will see more large structures such as this. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Trudgeon indicated they had good. intentions with the design <br />guidelines, but sometimes they are hard i.to apPly when you start seeing plans. He stated the <br />Planning Commission and Staff may need: to look at the. code comprehensively in 'the near futUre. <br /> <br />Board Member Johnson indicated he would recommend adding findings about the uniqueness of <br />the public ptaza, as well as the curvatUre of the building to align with the street. <br /> <br />Board Member Brauer agreed, adding that the approval of the review committee could be an <br />additional finding. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked that they remove findings six and seven relating to 60% of the building <br />being 18 feet from the street. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded i~y Chairperson Nixt to adopt Resolution #05-01- <br />003 adopting Findings of Fact #0713 favorable to the applicant relating to a request from the City <br />of Ramsey for a variance to maximum front yard setbacks in the TC-1 Zoning District with the <br />following changes: <br />· Removal of findings #six and seven; <br /> Addition of the following findings: <br /> o That the structure is providing a unique public plaza; <br /> o "That the front of the building-will align with the intersecting street; <br /> o That the Town Center Tectmical Advisory Committee reviewed and approved the <br /> plan. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Johnson, Brauer,' Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson2 Voting No: None; Absent: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Johnson, seconded by Chairperson Nixt to approve the request for a variance to <br />maximum front yard setback requirements for the City of Ramsey, based on the findings of fact, <br />and adopt Resolution #05-01-004 declaring terms of same. <br /> <br />Motion carried, Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Shepherd, <br />Van Scoy, and Watson.
