Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-153 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE AN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT MANAGER <br />FILLING THE VACANT POSITION <br />WHEREAS, the Economic Development Manager position is vacant; and <br />WHEREAS, an external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, the interview panel is recommending that Mr. Sean Sullivan be <br />hired as a full-time Economic Development Manager; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sullivan has successfully passed the City's background checks; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sullivan is available to begin working or near August 27, 2018, <br />at $43.13 per hour, with a credit of 5 vacation days upfront and vacation accruals <br />beginning at 19 days per year; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sullivan will be subject to a 6-month probationary period; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Sullivan will be subject to the terms of the City's Personnel <br />Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #18-153 hiring Mr. Sean Sullivan as the City's <br />Economic Development Manager, effective on or near August 27, 2018, at step <br />three of the 2018 wage scale which is $43.13 per hour, with a credit of 5 vacation <br />days upfront and vacation accruals beginning at 19 days per year. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council <br />Member, , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />
