(5) <br />council may impose reasonable conditions necessary to protect the public health, safety, and <br />welfare of residents of the city. <br />Inspections. There may be one or more inspections each year by the zoning administrator or <br />his designee of any property covered by a home occupation permit. In addition, the zoning <br />administrator and/or his designee, shall have the right at any time, upon reasonable request, 48 <br />hours' notice shall be considered reasonable, to enter and inspect the premises covered by said <br />permit for safety and compliance purposes. <br />(6) Term of home occupation permits. Home occupation permits granted by this section shall be <br />temporary in nature and shall be granted to a designated person who resides in the dwelling <br />unit on the subject property. Permits are not transferable from person to person or from address <br />to address, unless the transfer is in accordance with the provisions of subsection (7) of this <br />section. <br />(7) <br />Death or move of permit holder; suspension or revocation; businesses existing before adoption <br />of article provisions. <br />a. Should a home occupation permit holder die or move to a new Inc, ..for., the existing permit <br />shall be automatically terminated. Except that in the case cf :�a1n, should a surviving <br />spouse or child, residing at the same address or receiving 16 La the property desire to <br />continue the home occupation, written notice to that er7ect shall be given to the zoning <br />administrator and the council may authorize continua,'on of that permit without further <br />hearing. <br />b. A home occupation permit, once granted, may he s.'spended or revoked prior to its original <br />revocation date by the council for cause hearing before the council. Citizen <br />complaints seeking the revocation of scch permit shall be filed with the zoning <br />administrator. All such revocation hearing's, oublication, and notice requirements shall be <br />the same as for conditional use perms ; •'ccordance with section 117-51. <br />c. Persons conducting a business rroperty zoned for residential use on the effective <br />date of the ordinance from whirr, 'his section is derived shall be required to obtain a home <br />occupation permit as regL'r';d herein. The business may continue pending final <br />determination of the ape iicatic.n.
