Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-129 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AMENDMENT TO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br />WITH NORTHWESTERN ANOKA COUNTY COMMUNITY CONSORTIUM <br />"NWACCC" (YOUTH FIRST) <br />WHEREAS, in 1995, the City of Ramsey entered in to a Joint Power Agreement with <br />Northwestern Anoka county Community Consortium (NWACCC) along with the cities of <br />Andover and Anoka, Anoka County and Independent School District No. 11; and <br />WHEREAS, the general purpose of the agreement was to create an organization through <br />which the parties may jointly and cooperatively create a community -wide vision for positive youth <br />development; and <br />WHEREAS, the agreement is in effect until dissolved; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has received an amendment to the JPA adding the City of Coon <br />Rapids to the consortium; and <br />WHEREAS, such amendment is being presented to the Ramsey City Council for <br />approval. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The Ramsey City Council hereby approves the amendment to the Joint Powers Agreement <br />with Northwestern Anoka County Community Consortium "NWACCC', which <br />amendment adds the City of Coon Rapids to the consortium. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 26th day of June, 2018. <br />Acting Mayor John LeTourneau <br />
