CANCELLED: Volunteer Tree Survey Training—The Volunteer Tree Survey Training for 8/10 and 8/11 due to lack of registrations. The city is conducting a survey of its public trees to get a sense for the number,type, and condition of the trees in its urban forest. The survey will take place during the summer of 2018 and will be completed entirely by volunteers! Volunteers will complete two sessions of training to learn how to identify tree species, determine age-class and rate the condition of trees in the community. Training is completed in two parts,one indoor session and one outdoor session. Once trained, volunteers will work in teams to help conduct a citywide tree inventory survey.
