He stated that it is critical to understand the <br />wants and needs of the community. <br />7.04: Consider Adopting Resolution #18-167 Approving Response to Draft Anoka County <br />2040 Comprehensive Plan Update <br />Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to <br />approve the draft response. <br />Councilmember Shryock stated that she appreciates that the City has the ability to comment on <br />these plans and would encourage coordination of comments with surrounding communities to <br />ensure that the key points continue to be identified. <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau agreed that it is helpful to have access to and the ability to comment <br />on these plans. He referenced the future Mississippi River crossing and noted that would be a <br />cumbersome project that would not be as likely to occur in the 2040 plan as originally hoped for <br />because of the number of partners that would be involved but appreciated the City calling out <br />that desire. He also identified key north/south routes in the community that will continue to be <br />stressed and pressured and likes that the language was called out as that is a huge priority for <br />Ramsey residents. <br />Motion by Councilmember Shryock, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to Adopt Resolution <br />#18-167 Approving Response to Anoka County Transportation Plan. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Acting Mayor LeTourneau, Councilmembers Shryock, Johns, <br />Kuzma, and Riley.
