CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING (CANVASSING) <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a Canvassing Board Meeting to canvass the results of the <br />Primary Election, on Friday, August 17, 2018, at the he Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 <br />Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Members Absent: <br />Also Present: <br />Acting Mayor John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember Melody Shryock <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Administrative Services Manager Colleen Lasher <br />City Clerk Jo Thieling <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Canvassing Board to order at 7:02 a.m. <br />2. CITIZEN INPUT <br />There was none. <br />3. APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Johns, seconded by Councilmember Shryock to approve the agenda <br />as presented. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: All present voted in favor. Absent: Councilmember Riley. <br />4. COMMISSION BUSINESS <br />4.01: Declare the Results of the August 14, 2018 Primary Election <br />City Clerk Thieling explained the purpose of this morning's Canvassing Board meeting is to <br />accept and declare the results of the City's Primary Election for Mayor and Councilmember <br />Ward 4. She noted the results as follows: 15,629 registered voters as of 7:00 a.m. Election Day <br />and 174 new persons registered either during the absentee balloting period or on Election Day. <br />The City accepted 332 absentee ballots.
