Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-174 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DRAFT FEASIBILITY REPORT AND <br />ORDERING PUBLIC INPUT MEETING FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #18-02 <br />HY-10 RAMSEY STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct approximately 0.27 miles of <br />streets within the HY-10 Ramsey development, and to assess benefitted properties for all or a <br />portion of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, the City <br />Charter, and the City's adopted Special Assessments Policy; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted July 11, 2017, a Draft <br />Feasibility Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to the proposed street <br />reconstruction improvements within the HY-10 Ramsey development, and other appurtenant <br />work; and <br />WHEREAS, the Draft Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the <br />proposed project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; whether the improvements should be <br />made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the <br />improvements as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate <br />individual assessments for benefitted properties; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to assess benefiting properties up to 25- <br />percent of the cost of the improvements, pursuant to Chapter 8 of the City Charter, the City's <br />adopted Special Assessments Policy, and Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council has received and preliminarily accepted the Draft Feasibility Report. <br />2) The City Council orders the City Engineer to schedule and conduct a Public Input <br />Meeting at 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 13, 2018, with the benefiting property <br />owners identified within the Draft Feasibility Report. <br />RESOLUTION #18-174 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
