CASE # <br /> <br />CONSIDER ENTERING INT. O AN AGREEMENT WITH SPRINT SPECTRUM <br />LP FOR THE PLACEMENT OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT ON <br />WATER TOWER NO 1 <br /> By: Steven J. Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City has been approached by Sprint Spectrum LP for the fight to install <br />telecommunicatioms equipment on- and Within Water Tower No 1. Plans for the <br />installation of the ecluipment' have beei~ reviewed and recommended for approval by <br />Kollmer Consultants, a f'un retaiiaed by the City for this purpose. Attached to this case is <br />an agreement between the City and Spent which outlines the terms for use of the tower. <br />Sprint will pay the City $24,000 annually forthe use of the tower. The agreement has <br />been reviewed by the City Attorney. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />Staff recommends entering into the attached contract with Sprint for the use of the water <br />tower contingent upon the plans l~eing signed by the registered professional engineer who <br />had prepared them and upon payment of the costs associated with the review of the plans <br />by Kollmer Associates. <br /> <br />Action: <br /> <br />Motion to enter into a contract with Sprint for the use of the water tower contingent upon <br />the plans being signed by thelregistered Professional engineer who had prepared them <br />and upon payment Of the costs associated with the review of the plans by Kollmer <br />Associates. <br /> <br />Reviewed By: <br />Public Works Director/Fire chief' <br />Assistant Public WOrks DireCtor/Principal Engineer <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />CC: 02/08/05 <br /> <br /> <br />
