CITY CouNcIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council condUcted a City Council Work Session on Wednesday, January 19, <br />2005, at Ramsey City Hall, 15153 N°Wthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />CoUncilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember David Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Mary Jo Olson <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public'Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant Community Development Director/HRA <br />Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Community Development Director Patrick Trudgeon <br /> <br />Executive <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec announced the adult bookstore has been temporarily closed due to violations. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Municipal Center Project <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman reviewed that a Facilities Committee for the Municipal Center <br />project was created last year and the City Council authorized design of a new facility. He <br />indicated plans for the Municipal Center are nearing final design and the project could be bid the <br />end of April or May. At a recent meeting of the Economic Development Authority, it became <br />apparent that the City Council has not given formal action to proceed with the project.
