Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br />Assistant COmmunity Development Director/HRA <br />Director Sylvia Frolik <br />Assistant Director iof Public Works Brian Olson <br /> <br />Executive <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City council Work Session to order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as submitted. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />1) Snowmobile Ordinance · <br /> <br />Police Chief Way reviewed that Lowell Vasseur and his wife presented a letter to the Council on <br />November 22, 2004 regarding snoWmobiling, and he would like to extend the line of no <br />snowmobiling to his side of SunWoOd Avenue. Back in April of 2002 the Council discussed the <br />possible banning of snowmobiles in the south Portion of the City. There was some opposition <br />and it was defeated at that time. He noted eight citations were issued this weekend to <br />snowmobilers. Staff is looking for input on this issue from the Council. He advised it would be <br />difficult to enforce one little area of the street as Mr. Vasseur is requesting, and if that is done for <br />one resident there will likely be many residents saying they do not want snowmobiling in the <br /> <br />City Council W°rk session/January 25, 2005 <br /> ,Page 1 of 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
