CITY OF RAMSEY RESOLUTION <br />PROCLAIMING <br />SEPTEMBER 17 - 23, 2018 AS CONSTITUTION WEEK <br />WHEREAS, September 17, 2018, marks the two hundred thirty-first <br />anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America <br />by the Constitutional Convention; and <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to accord official recognition to this <br />magnificent document and its memorable anniversary, and to the patriotic <br />celebrations which will commemorate the occasion; and <br />WHEREAS, Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each <br />year by the President of the United States of America designating September 17 <br />through 23 as Constitution Week. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey hereby proclaims the week of <br />September 17 through 23, 2018, as CONSTITUTION WEEK. <br />2) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey asks its citizens to reaffirm the <br />ideals of the Framers of the Constitution by vigilantly protecting the <br />freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, <br />remembering that lost rights may never be gained. <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the <br />Ramsey City Council this the 11th day of September, 2018. <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk Jo Ann M.
