The Special General Election was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018, and the City's eight <br />polling places were open for voting from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The residents also had the opportunity to vote <br />absentee if they chose, either at Ramsey City Hall, at Anoka County Elections Department, or by mail. <br />The voter turnout for the Special General Election, including absentee votes, was 1.48 percent. Attached to this <br />case is the Abstract of Votes Cast. <br />The Special General Election was to fill a vacancy for an At -Large Council seat. There were two candidates on the <br />ballot: Chris Riley and Ida Theis. Chris Riley won the seat with a total of 167 votes.
