<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #18-144 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION HIRING SEASONAL PUBLIC WORKS MAINTENANCE WORKERS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />annually the City employs Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers to <br />perform work in the Parks, Streets, and Utilities Divisions of Public Works; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> staff selected three qualified Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the candidates have passed the pre-employment screenings; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Staff recommends hiring Ms. Emma Hoekman and Ms. Madison Huether, <br />effective July 12, 2018 at $11.00 per hour, and Mr. Lucas Phelps, effective July 23, 2018 at $11.00 <br />per hour. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution #18-144 to hire Ms. Emma Hoekman and Ms. Madison <br />Huether, as Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Workers, effective July 12, 2018 at <br />$11.00 per hour, and Mr. Lucas Phelps, as a Seasonal Public Works Maintenance Worker, <br />effective July 23, 2018 at $11.00 per hour. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
