<br />Councilmember Shryock introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 18-158 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING UPDATED RESTAURANT SUBSIDY PROGRAM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> attracting restaurants to the community has been identified as a key priority for the <br />City of Ramsey; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />attracting new restaurant users to the community via economic development tools <br />has been recognized as a viable and reasonable approach; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey has developed three (3) strategic initiatives to attract new <br />restaurant users including a Water Availability Charge forgiveness program, a sign and awning grant <br />program, and an expansion of the Business Welcome Services program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br /> , these new initiatives are intended to result high benefits at low cost to the City. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1.That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the following initiatives as part of the Business <br />Subsidy Program: <br /> <br />a.Water Availability Charge Forgiveness Program <br /> <br />b.Establishment of a Sign & Awning Grant Program <br /> <br />c.Expansion of the Business Welcome Services Program <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Riley, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Acting Mayor LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> Existing Vacancy <br /> <br />
