CC Work Session 2. 2. <br />Meeting Date: 09/25/2018 <br />Information <br />Title: <br />Discuss Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update <br />Purpose/Background: <br />The purpose of this case is to review in detail the City's Draft Comprehensive Transportation Plan Update, which is <br />part of the broader 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update. Over the course of the past several City Council Meetings, a <br />number of transportation related issues have been raised. This topic is an opportunity to discuss how the <br />Transportation Plan can address these issues on a broader scale and begin prioritization, which may lead to more <br />detailed studies/design and ultimately physical improvements. <br />Current High Priority Transportation Items: <br />• Highway 10 [Planning Effort Underway] <br />• Highway 47 [Planning Effort Underway] <br />• Highway 5/Nowthen Boulevard [Planning Effort Under Consideration] <br />Current Medium Priority Transportation Items <br />• Armstrong Boulevard <br />• Green Valley Road/179th Avenue/175th Avenue/173rd Avenue <br />• 181 st Avenue <br />Long Term/Opportunity Drive Transportation Items <br />. Mississippi River Highway Crossing to City of Dayton <br />Timeframe: <br />30 Minutes <br />Funding Source: <br />This case is being handled as part of normal Staff duties. <br />Responsible Party(ies): <br />Community Development Director <br />City Engineer <br />Outcome: <br />The desired outcome is to discuss the current draft of the Transportation Plan in context of recent <br />transportation -related concerns.
