Social Media
Each of the four centers analyzed made sure to utilize social media to market and
coordinate their facilities and partnerships. But why is social media marketing so
important?
1 Social media can showcase your community center to a wide audience.
2 Social media can develop a loyal community, as shown bythe chart on connection
and satisfaction below.
to%
40%
20%
0%
-20%
-40%
Customer Value
0
Not ebdtinnally Highly satisfied {but [Mn
connected fully connected}
-18%
Perceive brand
afferenuatian land
satisfied, bast noisily
connecledl
Customer Value -Baseline
Figure 1.3
52%
Fully connected land
satisfied, and abk to
Perceives brand
differentiation)
3. While this sounds like a centralized model, many cities that have
decentralized programming still have a central hub where people can gather or
receive information about the organization and often the city itself. The central hub
should be in the CO R, as this offers an easily accessible location for many of the
residents in the City of Ramsey.
2 Oursecond recommendation is that the City of Ramsey increase focus on their
digital marketing and coordination, especially through their website and social
media. This can enhance the visibility of eventswhile providing an easy method to
re lay updates. We suggest starting with a focus on Facebookwith the potential to
expand to others such as Twitter and Instagram. An intern could be utilized to
operate the social media platforms.
raeooa
n keel
Commonly Used Social Media Platforms
snaanar 796
9596
5.696
Most Effective Social Network for Organizations
• Twitter
• ▪ Gurgle.
• Instagrarn
• YouTube
• ▪ Doter Know
Figure 1.5 Figure 1.e
3 In addition to the two recommendations above, we also recommend that if the City
of Ramsey decides that a decentralized model is the best option, the city should gain
further information and guidance from the above community centers. Particularly
looking to the Highland Park and Arlington H ills CommunityCenters, as these were
the centers that appear most successful while also coordinating with other public
and private entities.
38
32
