<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #18-220 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-02, BROOKVIEW ESTATES <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted August 28, 2018, a <br />Feasibility Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />improvements to approximately 0.50 miles of streets within the Brookview Estates development <br />including the reconstructions of 173rd Avenue and Germanium Street, and other appurtenant <br />work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429, the City Charter, and the <br />City’s adopted Special Assessments Policy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the City Council received the Feasibility Report on October 23, 2018; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, <br />the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; whether the improvements should be made as <br />proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement; the estimated cost of the improvements <br />as recommended; and a description of the methodology used to calculate individual assessments <br /> <br />for benefitted properties. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with <br />the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, the City Charter, <br />and the City’s adopted Special Assessments Policy, at an estimated total cost of <br />$502,555.46. <br /> <br />2) A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 13th day of November, 2018 <br />in the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and <br />published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Riley, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Letourneau <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Shryock <br /> <br /> <br />
