Staff has been approached by staff <br />from the US Census on ways the City can help obtain a complete count. Census data is utililized to determine <br />Congressional boundaries and number of representatives in each State in the US House of Representatives. <br />Additionally, Census Data is utilized to distribute an estimate $675 Billion in Federal Funds. <br />A more detailed document is attached for reference. <br />Recommendation: <br />This case is for informational purposes only. Staff recommends utilizing existing resources (Council, Commission, <br />Staff) to aide in Complete Count efforts, rather than establishing a separate Complete Count Committee.
