Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #18-232 <br />RESOLUTION HIRING TEMPORARY ON -CALL SNOW PLOW DRIVERS <br />WHEREAS, annually the City employs Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers to provide <br />general maintenance of public streets, parking lots and any other municipal related facilities and/or <br />equipment including snow plowing of public streets, trails, and walks, and <br />WHEREAS, Temporary On -call Snow Plow Drivers are not required to hold a <br />Commercial Driver's License as they are not driving a commercial vehicle; and <br />WHEREAS, staff conducted the annual hiring process and selected qualified candidates <br />to fill the vacancies; and <br />WHEREAS, the candidates have passed the pre -employment screening process; and <br />WHEREAS, staff recommends hiring Mr. Lucas Phelps; Mr. Gerald Byykkonen; Mr. <br />Lawrence Nelson, Mr. Cullin Kruse, Mr. Keith Noreen; and Mr. Thomas Pagel at $13.00 per <br />hour, effective on October 31, 2018. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />Motion to adopt resolution #18-232 to do the following: <br />1) Hire Mr. Lucas Phelps; Mr. Gerald Byykkonen; Mr. Lawrence Nelson; Mr. Cullin Kruse; <br />Mr. Keith Noreen; and Mr. Thomas Pagel at $13.00 per hour, effective on or near October <br />31, 2018. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 27th day of November, 2018. <br />
