ARTICLE TEN (10) OVERTIME/COMPENSATORY TIME <br />10.1 Employees will be compensated at one and one-half (1 '/2) times the Employee's <br />regular base pay rate for working beyond their regular shift and for hours worked in excess <br />of the Employee's regularly scheduled shift„Changes of shifts do not qualify an Employee <br />for overtime under this ARTICLE. <br />10.2 Overtime will be distributed as equally as practicable. <br />10.3 Overtime offered and refused by Employees will, for recorddgi Loses under ARTICLE <br />10.2, be considered as unpaid overtime worked. <br />10.4 For the purpose of computing overtime compensation, overti , hours worked shall not be <br />pyramided, compounded or paid twice for the same hours worked; for the purpose of <br />computing overtime compensation, an Employes; using earned vacation leave, <br />compensatory time off, sick leave or paid hodays is considered to be worng. <br />10.5 Overtime will be calculated to the nearest fifte U 15) minutes. <br />10.6 Employees have the obligation t . ork overtime or call backs if requested by the Employer <br />unless unusual circumstance prevent the Emp ees from so working. <br />10.7 Employees may elect to take compensatory time off ijieu of receiving overtime <br />compensation except for the following: 1) +urt time will be paid as overtime, 2) Hold- <br />overs will be paid . tame, 3) Early .> ft starts over two hours to cover the schedule <br />will be paid as g -mime (two hours and der may be taken as compensatory time off or <br />overtime) 4) uled overtime will be p: as overtime. <br />Compensatory time off is computed at r and one-half (1 '/2) times the time worked. <br />Accrue. a i t banked compensatory t'< t off shall not exceed 36 hours at any time and <br />employees may a=earn e - than,60 hours of compensatory time off annually. <br />Compensatory tim- may r ly be used with prior approval from the employee's <br />department head. Training time off must be used by the end of the calendar year. <br />
