7. COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> 7.01: Consider Approving Purchase Agreement for 6710 Highway 10 NW; Case of PDKP <br /> Properties,LLC <br /> Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation of the <br /> EDA to approve the Purchase Agreement. He noted that the Purchase Agreement is consistent <br /> with the City's policies for selling City-owned land and the proposed sales price is within the <br /> acceptable price range. He noted that the proposed use is an acceptable use that will add to the <br /> City's tax base and be a benefit to the Highway 10 business corridor. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated that the EDA discussed this proposal on multiple occasions and the <br /> group is excited about the business joining the community in a marque location along the <br /> Highway 10 corridor and returning the property to the tax roll. He stated that the proposed price <br /> is within the acceptable deal range. <br /> Motion by Councilmember Riley, seconded by Councilmember Johns, to approve the Purchase <br /> Agreement with PDKP Properties, LLC for the purchase of property (PID #34-32-25-13-005) <br /> also known as 6710 Highway 10 NW, Ramsey, MN. <br /> Further discussion: Councilmember Kuzma agreed that this is a great opportunity to get the <br /> property back on the tax roll and welcomed the business to the community. <br /> Motion carried. She stated that the <br /> expanded welcome services would be a great benefit to new businesses and utilizes staff and <br /> current services at a low cost to the City. <br /> Councilmember Riley stated that the City is trying everything that it can to bring in business.
