<br />Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #18-229 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PLANS AND <br />SPECIFICATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #19-01, FORD BROOK ESTATES <br />STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #18-175, adopted August 28, <br />2018, a Feasibility Report was prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />improvements to approximately 0.16 miles of streets within the Ford Brook Estates development <br />th <br />including 180Lane from Highway 47/Saint Francis Boulevard to Krypton Street, and Krypton <br />th <br />Street from 180Lane to its termini cul-de-sac, including the reconstruction of streets and other <br />appurtenant work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #18-219, adopted October 23, <br />2018, the Feasibility Report was received and accepted, and a Public Hearing was ordered for <br />November 13, 2018 at 7 p.m., where the City Council will consider the proposed improvements <br />for said streets in accordance with the Feasibility Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for 25-percent of the cost <br />of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, <br />and the City’s Special Assessments Policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Clerk gave mailed and published notice of such hearing and <br />improvements as required by law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City Council approved the Feasibility Report and conducted a Public <br />Hearing for the proposed improvements on November 13, 2018. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)Such improvement is necessary, cost-effective and feasible as detailed in the Feasibility <br />Report approved by Council on November 13, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />2)Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Chapter 429, Chapter 8 of the City Charter, and the City’s <br />Special Assessments Policy, benefiting properties shall be assessed up to 25-percent of the <br />cost of the improvements, which have an estimated total cost of $239,464.57. <br /> <br /> <br />3)The City Engineer is hereby designated as the engineer for this improvement, and the <br />engineer is ordered to prepare plans and specifications for the making of such <br />improvements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
