Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #18-204 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR SUNFISH LAKE PARK, PARKING LOT IMPROVEMENTS, PROJECT #18-07 WHEREAS, Ramsey City Council on April 24, 2018, approved Sunfish Lake Park, parking lot improvements as part of the 2018 Parks Capital Improvement Project (s); and WHEREAS, bids were advertised in the Anoka Union Herald on August 31 and September 7, 2018; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened, and tabulated on September 13, 2018, and the following bids were found to comply with the advertisement for bids; and CONTRACTOR TOTAL BID North Valley $20,512.70 Omann Contracting Companies $23,222.00 Urban Companies $45,686.00 WHEREAS, the bid of North Valley Inc, Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of $20,512.,70 for the total bid for construction of said improvements in accordance with the approved plans and specifications and advertisement for bids, is the lowest responsible bidder and their bid shall be and hereby is accepted; and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with said bidder for the construction of said improvements for and on behalf of the City of Ramsey. 2) The City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids at such time that a contract has been executed.
