CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, August 28, 2018, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Acting Mayor John LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Jill Johns <br />Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br />Councilmember Chris Riley <br />Councilmember Melody Shryock <br />City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br />Finance Director Diana Lund <br />Fire Chief Matt Kohner <br />Police Chief Jeff Katers <br />Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br />Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br />Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br />City Engineer Bruce Westby <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br />Acting Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br />2.01: Continued Discussion of 2019 Budget/Levy and Review of 5-Year Budget (2019- <br />2023) <br />Finance Director Lund reviewed the staff report. <br />Councilmember Kuzma asked and received confirmation that the projections do figure in <br />projected growth of both residential and commercial properties. <br />Councilmember Riley asked for more information on the PIR fund; how the balance was <br />generated and what the fund is typically used for. <br />Finance Director Lund stated that any road improvements, outside of reconstruction and project <br />that use Municipal State Aid (MSA), utilize the PIR fund and provided examples of projects that <br />have utilized such fund. <br />Councilmember Kuzma asked where funds are allocated from the sale of City owned property. <br />City Council Work Session / August 28, 2018 <br />Page 1 of 8 <br />
