APPROVE MINUTES <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns noticed in the previous minutes in the call to order it showed the meeting to <br />be a joint meeting which it was not. She asked this be changed to reflect that. <br /> <br />Commissioner Olds explained in the minutes on page five, the second to last sentence by him <br />should read "Commissioner Olds explained he did not think they have gotten what they wanted." <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Olds, seconded by Commissioner LaMere, to approve the following <br />Park and Recreation Commission Regular Meeting Minutes: <br /> <br />1) Park and Recreation Commission Regu{ar Meeting Minutes dated September 11, 2003. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Johns, Commissioners Olds, LaMere, Lehman and <br />Ostmm. VotingNo: None. Absent: Shryock. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Town Center Park Planning <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated the purpose of this item is to update the Commission <br />on the Town Center Park Planning. He explained the City Council approved the agreement and <br />things are moving along as scheduled. The developer would have ninety days to craft a park <br />dedication plan. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood explained th'at the details are coming together. <br /> <br />Commissioner Ostrum asked if they started digging yet. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated they were allowed to perform phased grading. <br /> <br />Chairperson Johns asked if they would have more information for the next meeting. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated he thought they would have information. <br /> <br />Case #2: Discuss 5-Year Parks Capital Improvement Program <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood explained for many years, the Park and Recreation <br />Commission began the Capital Improvement Program (Cfi') process by examination of the <br />current five-year plan, and then performed modifications throughout the intervening months. <br />After the Commission formulated a draft plan, a public hearing was held for final considerations <br />before forwarding the request to City Council's Finance Committee. <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Supervisor Riverblood stated in recent years, the process for all city improvements <br />has been refined and the' projects are now usually reviewed by the City Council as. one package. <br /> <br /> Park and Recreation Commission/October 9, 2003 <br /> Page 2 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
