CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, November 27, <br /> 2018, at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> Members Present: Mayor John LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Debra Musgrove <br /> Councilmember Chris Riley <br /> Councilmember Melody Shryock <br /> Members Absent: Councilmember Jill Johns <br /> Councilmember Mark Kuzma <br /> Also Present: City Administrator Kurtis Ulrich <br /> Finance Director Diana Lund <br /> Fire Chief Matt Kohner <br /> Police Chief Jeff Katers <br /> Parks and Assistant Public Works Superintendent Mark Riverblood <br /> Public Works Superintendent Grant Riemer <br /> Administrative Services Director Colleen Lasher <br /> Community Development Director Timothy Gladhill <br /> City Engineer Bruce Westby <br /> Councilmember Elect Nadine Heinrich <br /> Planning Commissioner Bruce Anderson <br /> 1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor LeTourneau called the City Council Work Session to order at 5:34 p.m. <br /> 2. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> 2.01: Continued Discussion of 2019 Budget and Levy <br /> City Administrator Ulrich reviewed the memorandums that were included in the staff report from <br /> the different departments, providing the information requested by the Council after the last <br /> discussion. <br /> Finance Director Lund provided final numbers for the proposed budget, which incorporates the <br /> outside information the City was awaiting and shows the impact to the different home values. <br /> She explained that lower priced homes are seeing an increase to their taxes payable because of <br /> the increase in value, while the higher priced homes and commercial properties are seeing a <br /> decrease because those property values have not increased at the same rate. <br /> City Council Work Session /November 27, 2018 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br />
