CC Regular Session <br />Meeting Date: 01/08/2019 <br />Submitted For: Bruce Westby, Engineering/Public Works <br />By: Marsha Weidner, Engineering/Public Works <br />4. 11. <br />Information <br />Title <br />Adopt Resolution #19-014 Authorizing Final Payment to North Valley, Inc. for Improvement Project 17-00, <br />Sunwood Drive Reconstruction. <br />Purpose/Background: <br />Resolution and Pay Request Attached. <br />Observations/Alternatives: <br />Issuing final payment will be contingent on receipt of the following items from North Valley, Inc.: <br />1. IC 134 (Contractor's Withholding Affidavit showing compliance with the provisions of Minnesota Statute <br />290.92 requiring withholding state income tax). <br />2. Waiver of Mechanic's Lien Rights (Affidavits that all claims against North Valley, Inc. by reasons of the <br />contract have been fully paid or satisfactorily secured). <br />3. Consent of Surety to Final Payment (Certification from the contractor's surety). <br />Following receipt of these items, final payment will be issued. <br />Recommendation: <br />The Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment to North <br />Valley, Inc. in the amount of $20,687.63. <br />Final construction costs are $4,367.52 (1.1%) greater than the awarded bid.
