Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-029 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION FOR BUILDING REMOVAL AND <br />CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS AT THE PROPERTY <br />GENERALLY KNOWN AS 9539 HIGHWAY 10 NW <br />WHEREAS, Ron West, hereby referred to as the "Property Owner," has requested an <br />extension for code enforcement activities at the property generally known as 9539 Highway 10 <br />NW and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 1, Block 1, Verndale Commercial Park, Anoka County, Minnesota <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: <br />a. Unpermitted building <br />b. Unpermitted expansion of a lawful nonconforming use <br />WHEREAS, the unpermitted structure was constructed by a previous tenant who is no <br />longer present at the Subject Property; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent the first notice of violation on February 1, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, City Staff met with the Property Owner on February 13, 2018, and at which <br />time the Property Owner indicated that he would secure a contractor and have the building <br />removed; and <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent the second notice of violation on July 17, 2018; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent the third notice of violation on September 9, 2018; <br />WHEREAS, City Staff spoke with the Property Owner on October 25, 2018 and January <br />10, 2019 and at which times the Property Owner indicated that he would secure a contractor and <br />have the building removed and; <br />WHEREAS, the Property Owner has requested an extension to May 1, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council approved the request this 22nd of January, 2019. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />
