Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-034 <br />RESOLUTION CLARIFYING DEFINITION OF COMPLAINT BASED CODE <br />ENFORCEMENT <br />WHEREAS, City Code Chapter 2, Article VII, Chapter 30, and Chapter 117 identify <br />certain property restrictions and a process to correct violations of said City Code provisions; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City currently operates on a complaint -based system when identifying <br />violations of City Code to be corrected. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby defines Complaint Based Code Enforcement as "a formal <br />complaint submitted to City Staff or an observation of a violation by City Staff in the course <br />of their normal duties; complaint -based does not include a proactive sweep of the <br />community or dispatching City Staff for the specific purpose of finding code violations." <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />and the following were absent: <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Existing Vacancy <br />
