The stairtower on :thes°uth side of the facility abuts the <br />property line and the foundf¢ion for!the stairtower will encroach into the right-Of. <br />way approximately 3 feet. ~hisencr°aChment will not impact the street/sidewalk <br />system. : · <br /> <br />Building <br /> <br />The structure is designed to be ~;ontst?ucted in two phases. The first phase will be <br />4 levels 630 stalls~ The second pha~e w!ll_be a 4 level horizontal addition which <br />allows the existing facility ~ remain!Open during construction. The full build out of <br />the facility Will provide 840~Parking'~t.allsi The first phase will have 200 parking <br />stalls designated for park .&~ ride.used,The second phase will add an additional <br />200 parking stalls for park ~ ride usie. <br /> <br />The highest elements of the building are the stair/elevator towers which are 60' in <br />height. The main parking s~ructure iS 55': in height to the top of screening. <br /> <br />The general character of tl~e building is rbeant to be more traditional in <br />appearance than modern, reminisce., nt of older warehouse buildings; "a <br />warehouse for storing cars!: Preca.St!concrete infill panels will be placed <br />between the columns. Bo~ theCOlUmns and panels will have significant depth,. <br />and therefore will Provide ShadoW.:liPes throughout [he parking structure to avoid <br />the flatness that often is pr~esent withlparking facilitieS. Cultured stone will be <br />used for the first level of th.er building ia:the pedestrian areas. The primary <br />pedestrian areas are the east and s~Uth :sides. The east side abuts the City Hall <br />site. The materia s are c°mpaljble~vitli the City Hall, but do not duPlicate them. <br />A pedestrian canopy runs Me length of. the building along the east side and <br />defines a spine between Sunwood' and Civic Center Drive, continuing with the <br />future bridge to the station I~latform.! ,The canopy is constructed of exposed steel <br />with a galvanized Steel roof; suSperided With cables from the deck columns. The <br />pedestrian canopy continues arOun~ the Corner t° Civic Center Drive and covers <br />passengers as they depart,'the afterh°on bus. The stair towers are <br />predominantly glass, bothfer v!sible safety of the users and to create <br />recognizable landmarks for.the:facil!ty an~J Town Center. The main staid'elevator <br />tower will be particularly visible from Highway 10, and is designed to be a <br />regional identity for the facility, CitY Hall and Town Center in general. <br /> ~ ' <br /> <br /> <br />
