Cotlncilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-10-312 <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE A PATROL OFFICER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, On September 28, 2004 City Staff received Council authorization to recruit <br />for a Patrol Officer; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council authorized the new patrol officer position as part of the 2005 <br />preliminary budget on September 13, 2004; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Staff has conducted an internal recruitment process and is recommending <br />Nicholas Dahlberg be hired as a Patrol Officer. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br /> Personnel Committee to hire Nicholas Dahlberg as a Patrol Officer. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Mr. Dahlberg will be compensated at a rate of $18.50 per hour. All other personnel <br />policies will apply normally. Mr. Dahlberg will begin employment with the City on or <br />near October 13, 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br /> <br />
