Councilmember Kurak introduced the follOwing resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-08-225 <br /> <br />CONSIDER AUTHORIZATION TO HIRE AN ACCOUNTING CLERK <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, approximately 200 applications were received for the position and nine <br />applicants were interviewed; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends that Ms] Jackie Lipski be hired for the Accounting Clerk <br />position. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REsoLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to do the following: <br /> <br />Hire Jackie Lipski as an Accounting Clerk at an hourly wage of $15.44 contingent upon <br />satisfactory criminal and driver's license background checks, reference checks, and <br />passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen. Ms. Lipski will begin employment <br />on or near August 30, 2004 and will be subject to a six-month probationary period. All <br />other personnel polices will apply normally. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Cook, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the tbllowing voted against the same: <br /> <br />and thc £ollowing abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Cot, ncihnember Pearson <br /> <br /> <br />
