Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-050 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION TO COMPLETE REMOVAL OF AN <br />UNAUTHORIZED STRUCTURE AND CODE ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS AT THE <br />PROPERTY GENERALLY KNOWN AS 15653 JUNIPER RIDGE DRIVE NW <br />WHEREAS, David Clossey, hereby referred to as the "Property Owner," has requested an <br />extension for code enforcement related activities at the property generally known as 15653 Juniper <br />Ridge Drive NW and legally described as follows: <br />That part of Lots 6 & 7 REILLY ESTATES lying southerly of the following <br />described line: Commencing at the most southerly corner of said Lot 6, thence <br />northwesterly along southwesterly line of said Lot 6 8 feet to point of beginning, <br />thence northeasterly along line "A" to a point on westerly line of said Lot 7 107.5 <br />feet northeasterly of said most southerly corner of Lot 6, then continuing <br />northeasterly along northeasterly extension of said line "A" to shoreline of Rum <br />River & there terminating; subject to easements of record. <br />(the "Subject Property") <br />WHEREAS, the violations on the Subject Property include the following: <br />a. Unauthorized structure within the required setback from bluff line and Ordinary High <br />Watermark (OHW). <br />WHEREAS, the unauthorized structure is not yet completed; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey sent the first notice of violation on January 23, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, on February 4, 2019, the Property Owner contacted the City both via email <br />and by phone to indicate he has begun to remove the unauthorized structure from the Subject <br />Property but the snow covered bank and freezing weather is preventing him from safely <br />completing this work within the 14-day timeframe; and <br />WHEREAS, the Property Owner has requested a 60-day extension to complete the <br />removal of the unauthorized structure. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council approves the following related to the code enforcement case: <br />That the unauthorized deck/platform/structure shall be removed within 60 days of the <br />date of this resolution. <br />
