STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF ANOKA CITY OF RAMSEY Code Enforcement Unit February 6, 2019 Shannon Enterprises of ND, LLC 703 16m Ave S Fargo, ND 58103 NOTICE OF ABATEMENT, THIRD NOTICE City of'I�� RAMSEY RE: Parking on Unapproved Surfaces, Refuse, Public Nuisance in the E-1 Business District on Anoka County PID #34-32-25-11-0022 [Northern Technologies, Inc at 6588 141st Ave NW, Ramsey MN] Dear Property Owner: The City of Ramsey has adopted certain ordinances that are designed to help keep the community safe, healthy, and attractive. It has come to the City's attention that vehicles at your place of business are being stored on unapproved surfaces and that there are materials, equipment and other junk stored in the parking lot and grass area on the east side of your property. You were sent notices of violation on February 13, 2018 October 18, 2018, December 14, 2018 and a follow up on December 28, 2018, for off-street parking violations and the storage of items off Basalt St NW. You were granted an administrative extension for cleanup until February 1, 2019. Staff inspection on February 5, 2019 showed the violations have not been adequately addressed. Staff is requesting permission to abate the items (remove) from the City Council on February 12, 2019. If approved, Staff will schedule an abatement as soon as February 18, 2019 based on contractor availability. You will be invoiced for the work performed plus a twenty-five percent (25%) administrative charge. For this situation, abatement includes removal of the items in question including: • Trailer stored in grass* [Shown in Exhibit 1] • Nuisance items in trailer onsite* [Shown in Exhibit 2] • Any other nuisance item onsite, such as barrels, refuse, etc.** • Vehicles stored outside your property on adjacent street right-of-way and neighboring properties [Shown in Exhibit 3 and 4] *These items are violations of City Code section 117-356(d) stating that all parking must be on approved surfaces such as bituminous asphalt, or concrete.
