Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #19-055 <br />RESOLUTION TO HIRE A BUILDING OFFICIAL <br />WHEREAS, the City's former Building Official retired effective January 31, 2019; and <br />WHEREAS, an external recruitment process was conducted; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Jesse Szykulski has been selected as the top candidate for the position; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, staff has completed the necessary background checks and is recommending <br />that Mr. Szykulski be hired as the City's new Building Official, effective on or near March, 11, <br />2019; and <br />WHEREAS, Mr. Szykulski will be subject to a 6-month probationary period and the City's <br />Personnel Policy. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) Motion to adopt resolution 419-055 to hire Mr. Jesse Szykulski as the City's new Building <br />Official , effective on or near March 11, 2019 at $44.87 per hour, which is step five (5) of <br />the 2019 wage scale, with a credit of three (3) vacation days. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Heinrich <br />Councilmember Musgrove <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />and the following abstained: <br />None <br />
